Career Education Corporation’s Michael Schafer Elected ABHES Commissioner

Michael Schafer, vice president of Academic Affairs for the Health Division of Career Education Corporation (NASDAQ:CECO), has been elected as a commissioner for the Accrediting Bureau of
Health Education Schools (ABHES), the company said today. He was elected at the recent meeting of the ABHES membership.
Schafer has worked in the field of Allied Health education for more than a decade and has been with Career Education Corporation (CEC: 22.15, -0.06, -0.27%) since 2003. At CEC, Schafer guides the educational activities at 22 campuses, which include all of the Sanford-Brown Institutes and Colleges across the country, covering 19 distinctly different health education and nursing programs for a total of 142 programs.
