For-profit education leaders are gathering in Washington this week for the Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities’ 2011 Hill Day and Policy Forum. The annual event in which sector leaders meet with Members of Congress and their staff is more important than ever with the many regulatory changes facing for-profit schools.
Career College Central will be there to cover Hill Day on March 8-9. Editor Kevin Kuzma will be posting social media updates to Twitter and Facebook throughout the event to keep you informed about the progress the sector makes on Capitol Hill.
As the 112th Congress begins to institute its legislative agenda, APSCU hopes the sector can solidify its existing relationships and establish new ones with all the elected officials. There have been significant legislative and regulatory challenges for the sector over the past year. APSCU is calling on schools, students and employers to come to Washington to share good news with policymakers about the tremendous value of this sector to higher education and workforce development.
