Schwartz earned his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, where he graduated cum laude, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the University of Denver, where he graduated magna cum laude. He has served as General and Legal Counsel for such companies as New Global Telecom; Verso Technologies, Inc.; Clarent Corporation; Peak Software Solutions, Inc.; and Evolving System, Inc. He started his career at the firm of Holme Roberts & Owen.
