Lincoln College Of Technology Closing Ohio Campuses
Career College Central summary:
The Lincoln College of Technology is closing all of its Ohio campuses. Parent company Lincoln Educational Services Corporation president and COO Scott Shaw said students who have not graduated from the Tri County location by September will be transferred to other schools or have their tuition refunded.
The company is closing locations in Dayton, Toledo, Cleveland and Florence, Ky. It will continue operating 38 other campuses across the country.
Shaw said a change in federal law is a reason for closing the schools. Title IV regulations were changed last year to eliminate eligibility for loans to students who had not graduated high school.
Shaw estimated that about a dozen employees and nearly 30 students would be affected in Cincinnati. He said employees of the closed campuses would be laid off or offered positions at other campuses as they became available.
