University of Phoenix is poised to offer 30 full-tuition scholarships to individuals whose lives could be improved by completing a college education.
Any of the school’s 18,000 Utah alumni can nominate someone, be it a friend, family member, a colleague or other deserving Utah resident, to receive one of the Paying it Forward Scholarships.
The deadline for nominations is Oct. 16.
The program began in 2006, during University of Phoenix’s 30th anniversary celebration, and at least four students from Utah were recipients last year.
Next year’s recipients will be announced by January and may select the undergraduate degree program of their choice.
More information regarding the scholarships, including applications, can be found online at payingitforward.phoenix.edu.
