Regional Director of Financial Aid

This position is an opportunity for you to lead a team of financial aid professionals who are critical to fulfilling the educational mission of our client and their schools located in its South Florida region. The financial aid programs provided by our client's colleges are designed to supplement the financial resources of our students and thus enable each of our students to achieve his/her educational & career goals.
As a Regional Director of Financial Aid (RDFA), you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the financial aid staff, programs and services provided at the Colleges in your region. As an RDFA, you will reports to the Vice President for Finance and actively participate as a member of the Financial Aid & Compliance management team. You will be responsible for the efficient and compliant administration of all federal, state and institutional programs of financial assistance at your assigned colleges and schools
What will you do?
- Assist Campus Presidents and Directors with the recruitment, training, supervision and management of Campus based financial aid and tuition accounting staff.
- Monitor compliance with federal, state and local financial aid regulatory requirements as they pertain to the US Department of Education, State, Local, Accrediting Commission.
- In conjunction with Campus Directors & Presidents, coordinate the activities and services of the financial aid department with the admission and recruitment staff of the College.
Qualifications, skills and professional experiences you will need:
- Five (5) or more years senior management and supervisory experience in the administration of federal and state student financial aid programs.
- Proficiency in federal verification procedures, determining financial need, student eligibility, return to federal funds calculations, professional judgment determinations, processing Federal Direct Student Loans, maintenance of NSLDS and managing Federal Work Study program.
- Excellent, training, writing and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and the capability to multi-task.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, & Excel. Proficiency student data management software very beneficial.
- Position requires 50 percent or more overnight travel.
