INDIANAPOLIS, April 14, 2009 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — USA Funds(R), the nation’s leading education loan guarantor, has announced that 1,000 college campuses now are connected to its education loan products and services through its USA Funds Connection(R) Web portal.
The Grove City, Ohio, campus of Indiana Business College last month became the 1,000th campus to use USA Funds Connection. Fourteen other Indiana Business College campuses also use USA Funds Connection.
"The USA Funds Connection portal is a very integral function in the daily financial aid operations at IBC," said Marty Mehringer, director of student financial services at the school. "USA Funds Connection gives all of our IBC users quick access to process our student loans, make any loan changes and keep a very watchful eye on student loan delinquencies."
By simply logging in to USA Funds Connection, financial aid professionals can access a variety of USA Funds products and services. "The one thing I like most about the portal is that it is a single login for multiple applications," Mehringer said.
At Indiana Business College’s Grove City campus, staff members use USA Funds Connection to access the online loan counseling tool USA Funds Loan Counselor(R) to assist with federally required student loan counseling. They also leverage USA Funds Connection to access loan processing tools and USA Funds Debt Manager(R) to communicate with student loan borrowers to promote successful loan repayment and prevent past-due loans and defaults.
"USA Funds Connection offers financial aid administrators easy and convenient access to the online resources they need to successfully carry out their responsibilities," said Denise B. Feser, USA Funds senior vice president, customer relations. "Enhancements to USA Funds Connection since its launch have added greater customization so that users have direct access to the most relevant information and services for their campuses and their roles in the financial aid office."
There currently are more than 3,700 individual users of USA Funds Connection nationwide.
