Apollo Group Inc. increased its board of directors to 13 members with the election of Terri Bishop, Stephen Giusto and Manuel Rivero during the company’s annual Class B shareholders meeting, company officials said Tuesday.
Shareholders also re-elected the 10 incumbent directors. Of the 13 members, eight are independent directors.
Bishop is executive vice president of external affairs for Apollo, having previously served as chief communications officer and senior vice president of public affairs. She has been with the Phoenix-based adult education provider since 1982,
Giusto currently is executive vice president and CFO of Korn Ferry International, an executive search firm. According to a statement from Apollo, Giusto plans to step down as CFO and assume the position of senior adviser to Korn Ferry’s CEO before the end of April.
Rivelo has been employed by Cisco Systems Inc. since 1992 and currently is senior vice president of Cisco Development Organization Operations.
