Career College Central Launches New Website Redesign

Celebrating its fifth successful year in publication, the editorial staff of Career College Central magazine announced today that it has launched a newly redesigned website. has been completely revamped and reorganized to provide professionals in the career college sector of higher education with the resources they need to succeed – and unite – in the face of new challenges facing “for-profit” schools.

Initially, was created with the intent to share higher education-related news articles and create a central location for career educators to share best practices. While those are still essential goals for the website, several new features have been added to encourage participation in the sector’s long-standing struggle for legitimacy and understanding in the realm of higher education and among the general public.

“The current presidential administration has leveled regulations on career training-oriented institutions that are a real threat to many of these schools’ existences,” said Kevin Kuzma, Career College Central Online Editor. “Our mission all along has been to educate the powers-that-be about the value of these colleges and support career educators the best we can in their delivery of hands-on, career-specific learning to their students. The newly redesigned does this – times ten.”

The newly redesigned website features:

  • Blog posts with unique insights and perspectives on issues facing career education and higher education in general.
  • Helpful resources, such as a calendar of events, a vendor directory, a real-time stock ticker that follows education stocks, and information on how to support the career education and its students.
  • Conversations to social media discussions on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
  • Online training courses through the Career College Central/MaxKnowledge training center that will help career educators fulfill professional development and continuing education requirements.
  • Information about the website’s staff, contributors, and readers.
  • Already popular features, such as online editions of the magazine, a sign-up feature for the website’s daily e-newsletter, and comment sections on all articles. was launched by PlattForm Advertising in 2006 and became a print magazine available exclusively to subscribers in 2007. The new format will allow readers to view the entire magazine – including back issues – online and turn pages in a magazine-style layout. Advertisers will also able to insert live links into the publications.

The March/April issue of Career College Central will be distributed to 15,000 readers at more than 3,000 career colleges throughout North America. The readership is comprised of college directors, school presidents, school owners, corporate CEOs, private equity firms, investors, associations and foundations, and advertising and marketing agencies.
