The Colorado Association of Career Colleges and Schools (CACCS) held its annual meeting last Friday, Oct. 16, at the Doubletree Hotel at the Denver Tech Center, honoring educators and educational staff members.
The selection committee focuses on three areas pertaining to staff and faculty nominations ie: commitment, performance, and leadership/professionalism. Each of these criteria include: achievements; interaction with peers; extracurricular activities, participation in professional or student organizations, tutoring/mentoring: and/or displaying a positive, lead-by-example attitude.
The Institute of Business and Medical Careers (IBMC) was honored with great distinction this year receiving award certificates for their dedication to educational excellence at the annual meeting. The primary award recipients were:
Diana Gunderson, IBMC’s Vice President of Education, was a Finalist for the Staff Member of the Year.
Tonya Morse, IBMC’s Business & Paralegal Instructor Specialist, won the Faculty Member of the Year award, posthumously. Ms. Morse’s family accepted the award ib her memory.
