Dawn Career Institute Celebrates Online and Campus Graduates

More than 250 graduates are expected to attend Dawn Career Institute’s winter commencement ceremony on Jan. 26 at the Chase Center, located on Wilmington’s Christina riverfront.

The Chase Center was chosen to provide the much-needed space for DCI’s upcoming graduation. This new, larger location will host a variety of guests and the graduates of several programs, including Esthetician, Pharmacy Technician, Medical Administrative Specialist, Dental Assistant, Legal Assistant, Nurse Assistant, Personal Fitness Trainer and Massage Therapist.

“For the past three years, our ceremonies were standing room only,” said Stefanie Roselle, Public Relations Coordinator. “Our students lead busy lives outside of school. Our graduation ceremony is a chance to stop and truly acknowledge our students’ achievements.”

For some students, it will not only be their graduation day, but the first time meeting their classmates and instructors. Last year, Dawn Career Institute began enrolling students from across the country into its online programs: Medical Billing and Coding and Medical Administrative Assistant. Some members of Dawn’s first online graduating class are expected to travel to Wilmington and celebrate alongside local campus graduates.

Dawn Career Institute is thrilled to have the first lady of Delaware, Carla Markell, as the commencement speaker at the ceremony. Markell’s contributions toward the community, volunteerism and mentoring programs are among some of Dawn’s core values.
