Students at colleges and universities using eCollege now have seamless access to audio, video and other online class resources, under the terms of an agreement with Cdigix, the leading provider of rich digital media services to higher education.
eCollege, a leading provider of a comprehensive course management system and associated services, is the underlying technology for hundreds of the most successful online education programs in the country. The company is continuously adding to its suite of integrated and supported technologies to enable educational institutions to deliver quality online education that helps students succeed at their educational goals.
The Cdigix agreement gives students and faculty in programs managed by eCollege quick access to the C-Labs Enterprise Edition–the digital media platform powered by Cdigix–directly from the eCollege course management system. With C-Labs, colleges and universities can easily deliver, manage and access digital content, including full-length films, videos and audio. Schools using C-Labs, for example, can provide students in foreign language classes with access to an audio laboratory that is entirely online, giving students flexible and on-demand access to vital resources for their classes.
Through a single, sign-on integration, eCollege users can easily access course-assigned media through the C-Labs platform without re-entering login credentials. C-Labs digital files will appear as links in eCollege courses–allowing students to simply download audio and video files to be played immediately or saved for offline use.
"Our primary goal is student achievement," said Matt Leavy, Chief Executive Officer of eCollege. "This partnership will enhance our customers’ online learning programs, making for a more successful learning experience for students and educators alike."
"We are pleased to partner with eCollege and look forward to providing online administrators, faculty and students with greater access to on-demand class resources," said Larry Jacobson, CEO of Cdigix. "Working together, we can help educators enrich the teaching and learning experience through an ever-increasing availability of resources, improving student performance and success in online learning."
C-Labs Enterprise Edition also offers administrative tools for better management and accessibility of digital class resources. Important features include:
