International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) has recognized Capella University as an Endorsed Education Provider (EEP) for courses offered through the university’s online master’s degree program in Information Technology Business Analysis specialization.
Capella, which is an accredited online university that has built its reputation by providing high quality online degree programs for working adults, is one of less than a dozen universities in the world that have received this recognition. Nearly 34,000 students are pursuing an online degree at Capella University (http://www.capella.edu), with 33 percent enrolled in Capella’s doctoral degree programs, and 48 percent enrolled in Capella’s master’s degree programs.
IIBA is the world’s leading professional association serving the growing field of business analysis. The organization has over 12,000 members worldwide, and more than 80 chapters in over 60 countries. It serves individuals working in a broad range of roles – business analysis, systems analysis, requirements analysis, project management, consulting, process improvement and more.
Capella earned the endorsement by demonstrating that its curriculum is in alignment with the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®) Guide. The certification also requires Capella to abide by the IIBA Provider Professional Code of Conduct, and have a process for ensuring that instructors have demonstrable expertise, and have a process to allow participants to evaluate instructor performance and course quality. In addition, IIBA requires continuous course improvement in course content and delivery mechanism.
As an EEP vendor, Capella’s endorsed courses also provide professional development units towards qualifying for the Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®) designation, or continuing development units for CBAP® recertification.
"Programs like Capella’s are imperative in meeting the rapidly growing need for business analysis professionals worldwide," said Kevin Brennan, Vice President, Professional Development for IIBA. "Selecting an Endorsed Education Provider such as Capella is the best way to advance in the business analysis profession.”
