The Kaplan College Las Vegas campus has opened enrollment for its new practical nursing diploma program. The career-focused program is designed to help students acquire the skills necessary to obtain entry-level practical nursing positions in health care facilities. Classes begin Nov. 5, 2008.
The campus will host an enrollment event on Tuesday, September 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tours of the school, including the new nursing lab will be available. Interested individuals will also have the opportunity to meet the director of the nursing program, Lilly Gonzales, and Rob Dillman, executive director of Kaplan College.
The 50-week program aims to teach students primary job skills such as basic patient, post-surgical, pediatric, elderly patient and maternal/child nursing care. Instructors will emphasize hands-on
