June 18, 2009, Fort Wayne, Ind. – MedTech College will celebrate its GRAND OPENING of their new Fort Wayne campus with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on Thursday, June 25 at 6 p.m. MedTech’s campus is located at 7230 Engle Road, on the corner of West Jefferson and Engle.
Participating in the ribbon cutting, along with MedTech College officials, staff and students, will be Mayor Tom Henry and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce.
MedTech College, an innovative and progressive private medical career college based in Indianapolis, IN is now in Fort Wayne. Recruitment began at the campus in July of 2008 with classes beginning in September of the same year.
Ryan Middleton, Associate Director of Admissions, said that the campus currently offers associate degrees in Medical Assisting, Medical Billing and Coding, Medical Lab Technology, Practical Nursing and Registered Nursing as initial program offerings with additional programs being added in the near future.
MedTech College is a private career college founded in 2004. Having grown to four campuses and a School of Nursing, the college will surpass the 2,000 student enrollment mark with the addition of a Lexington, Kentucky campus in the fall of 2009. The original five founding partners continue to be involved in the day-to-day operations of the college and plan to expand a campus a year throughout the Midwest.
