West Palm Beach, Fla. – MedVance Institute, a leading healthcare career training provider, has announced that John Hopkins will assume the duties of chairman of the company’s board of directors. Hopkins, currently the company’s chief executive officer and president, was named to his additional new role during the board’s Feb. 4th meeting.
The consolidation of leadership roles for Hopkins comes as MedVance Institute experiences considerable growth. The company reported double-digit enrollment growth in recent quarters, spurred largely by the prospect of solid job growth in the healthcare field. Under Hopkins’ leadership, MedVance Institute expanded its training programs to 10 campuses in Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee and Texas in recent years and expects to open more new campuses in the near future.
“Expansion of my duties at MedVance to include chairman of the board, CEO and president reflects the company’s natural evolution and continued growth as it navigates a challenging economic environment and a competitive career training field,” Hopkins said.
Hopkins has served as CEO of MedVance Institute since the fall 2006. He began his career in the hospitality business and worked for major luxury hotel companies over a 25-year span. He has successfully led a number of growth companies across various service industries including hotels, senior housing, education and healthcare.
