DECATUR (GA) — Jo Ann Koch, president of The Art Institute of Atlanta, announced that John (Monty) Clark has been named campus director for The Art Institute of Atlanta — Decatur, a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta, beginning July 19, 2010.
Mr. Clark joins The Art Institute of Atlanta — Decatur after spending the past two years as dean of academic affairs at The Art Institute of Raleigh — Durham. Prior to joining Ai Raleigh, Monty spent just under a year training with The Art Institute of Charleston in The Art Institutes’ "Tiger Team" executive development program. He began his career with The Art Institutes at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale where he served as both assistant academic director for Media Arts & Animation and academic director for Game Art & Design.
Before joining The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Mr. Clark was founder and president of Exodus Entertainment in Miami, a producer for the Animation Factory in Hollywood (FL), music producer for House Productions, and a teaching assistant at the University of Vermont.
Mr. Clark holds a bachelor of arts in English literature from University of Vermont and a master of business administration from the University of Miami.
