No Passing Grade For Education Stocks

In midday trading Thursday, Education & Training Services shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 0.3%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Education Management , off about 11.9% and shares of Grand Canyon Education off about 5.4% on the day.

Also lagging the market Thursday are Southeast Regional Banks shares, up on the day by about 1.1% as a group, led down by Tennessee Commerce Bancorp, (TNCC – news – people) trading lower by about 8.4% and Auburn National Bancorp , trading lower by about 2.1%.
