Phoenix, Arizona-based TCI Education, Inc. announced today it has acquired privately-held Morrison University. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. TCI Education, Inc. and its sister company High-Tech Institute, Inc., are the parent companies of 22 accredited post secondary education institutions operating under the names Anthem College, Anthem Institute, The Bryman School of Arizona, Allied College and High-Tech Institute.
Founded in 1902, Morrison University offers a variety of degrees including a Masters of Business Administration, a Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting, a Bachelors of Science Degree in Management, and an Associate of Science Degree in Computer Science.
“With the addition of Morrison University to our family of educational institutions we are taking another important step in our strategy to offer the widest variety of post-secondary programs for students across the country,” said TCI Education, Inc. and High-Tech Institute, Inc. Chief Executive Officer Bill Hillard. “Morrison has more than a century of history under its belt and the staff and faculty are well prepared to provide the quality of education for which our companies have built their reputation as leaders in career-focused education.”
The acquisition also will provide Morrison University with the financial, technological and administrative support structure of TCI Education, which is actively investing in infrastructure and planning for growth. The company recently announced the addition of several key executives to its leadership team and is positioning itself to take advantage of the continuing rapid growth of post-secondary education.
