The University of Phoenix has undergone two leadership changes at its Wichita locations.
Joe Compton is taking over as the director of academic affairs, replacing Phil Orlando, who on Tuesday started a similar job at the University of Phoenix location in Harrisburg, Pa. Carrie Morris-Smith was hired to replace Cynthia Yoakum as Wichita’s campus director. The reason for Yoakum’s departure wasn’t disclosed.
Compton and Morris-Smith have previous experience working for University of Phoenix.
Compton teaches philosophy, economics and management courses at the Axia College of University of Phoenix. He also has taught, economics, management, research, philosophy and ethics courses for the university’s Wichita and Oklahoma City locations. He has written management and small business and entrepreneurial planning courses for the University of Phoenix as well.
He also taught economics and philosophy at Baker University in Wichita.
Morris-Smith, meanwhile, spent the past year as the university’s director of enrollment at its Omaha campus. She spent two years as associate director of enrollment at its Dallas campus.
