The Industry Committee for the Apprenticeship for Commercial Professional Drivers announced there will be a free information session on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at the Doubletree International Plaza Hotel on Dixon Road in Toronto. The session will begin at 5:15 pm and last approximately one hour. The Industry Committee has set up a panel of industry stakeholders to discuss the how-to of getting an apprenticeship program started in your company.
Ray Haight, Chairman of the Industry Committee, is very pleased with the inquiries and progress from all of the industry and looks forward to the panel assisting interested carriers.
“This is a win-win situation for anyone who gets involved with the Apprenticeship Program,” he said. “Carriers now have another recruiting and retention tool and will prove to be a solid investment for all carriers who get involved.”
The information session is free of charge and part of the fourth annual Canadian Recruiting and Retention Seminar. Participants wishing to attend the information session need to register by sending an e-mail address to firstname.lastname@example.org. The session is open to anyone in the transportation industry.
