Today, Nelnet presented a $25,000 donation from the Nelnet Foundation to the Imagine America Foundation (IAF) to fund Imagine America Promise scholarships, bringing Nelnet’s total recent IAF donations to $50,000. The IA Promise Scholarship Program rewards college students who have demonstrated academic excellence and dedication; to date, this program has provided financial assistance to more than 400 students who attend an institution that focuses on career education. With the donation from Nelnet, a leading education planning and financing company, another 25 students will be $1,000 closer to paying for their education as they pursue their life long goals.
“Imagine America Promise is the fulfillment of our promise to help students who have maintained academic excellence and overcome funding barriers to complete their career education,” said Bob Martin, President of IAF. “Thanks to Nelnet, these students are now closer to seeing their dreams through to graduation.”
Nelnet also donated $25,000 to the Imagine America Foundation as the sole sponsor of its Fact Book 2007: A Profile of Career Colleges and Universities, a biannual publication with research and analysis of trends in the career college sector of higher education.
